Angle seat valves VZXAThe pneumatically actuated angle seat valve VZXA is a 2/2-way valve used to shut off and control liquids, viscous media and gases. The angle seat valves VZXA have a soft-sealing valve disc made of PTFE and modified PTFE, a valve stem and a pre-stressed EPDM V packing to seal them. To close the valve, the valve actuator moves the valve disc towards the valve seat using a spindle/piston rod, thereby pressing it onto the sealing seat in a force fit. A pneumatic actuator operated by pressurised gas is used as the valve actuator. The actuators can be double-acting and single-acting. The carefully thought-out VZXA product design with a patented interface enables the various valve bodies and actuators to be freely combined, thus offering even greater flexibility when configuring applications. In total, more than 2000 different valve variations can be configured.Pneumatically actuated angle seat valves are used for filling liquids, oils and gases, for steam applications as well as for cooling and heating applications in primary processes. Here are a few application examples: autoclaves, SIP systems and other steam applications, industrial washing machines and washing systems, cooling and heating applications in the production of wafers, tyre vulcanisation.Easy mounting – the unique interface between the modules means the actuators can be replaced without opening the piping. The simple separation of valve body and actuator makes installing the valves in the piping easier and faster. This advantage is particularly clear in the case of orbital welding. The patented seal system prevents the operating medium from escaping. The spindle seal is designed in the form of a cartridge. It comprises a stainless steel sleeve with a pre-stressed V packing consisting of PTFE sealing rings and can therefore be replaced simply and reliably without the need for special tools. Sturdy materials - the angle seat valve VZXA consists of a stainless steel valve body (1.4409), a stainless steel piston actuator or diaphragm actuator and a visual position indicator. Thanks to the transparent cover made of polyethersulfone (PES), the valves can be used without problems in chemically aggressive environments. The large visual position indicator is a standard feature. High flow rate – the stainless steel valve body has optimised flow characteristics for high flow rates.Modularity – the stainless steel actuator is available in three sizes as well as with the control functions normally closed (NC), normally open (N/O) and double acting (DA). The valve bodies are available with different connection types, connection standards and in the nominal sizes DN15 (1/2") – DN65 (2½"). High media pressures – the maximum operating pressure is up to 30 bar, depending on the nominal size, actuator version and inflow direction. Interfaces are provided together with internal channels for the operating pressure to allow the subsequent addition of positioners and a valve control unit.
