In recent years, Chinese manufacturing has surpassed the United States and Europe in fields such as new energy vehicles, batteries, 3C, photovoltaic, and 5G, becoming a global leader. This requires suppliers to focus on segmented industries and be able to grasp industry hotspots and market demand trends. Festo relies on rich experience in segmented industries and utilizes digital and cloud technologies to truly achieve efficient integration of systems, interpreting the innovative value of automation with customers, and helping Chinese manufacturing go global. At this year's CIIF, Festo will showcase the most popular innovative automation applications in industries such as semiconductors, new energy batteries, and life sciences.
In the field of assembly and testing of small components such as 3C, automotive electronics, and PCB, how to reduce comprehensive costs through production flexibility when different processes are required for electronic workpiece processing? How to complete multiple process tasks on the same machine? The Festo multitask intelligent grabbing unit utilizes two sets of 4-axis gantry robots in a set of workbenches to achieve four process flows: unstacking, tightening, gluing, and testing. The Festo electric cylinder EGC/EGSC, combined with the servo system CMMT/EMMT, achieves reliable long-distance transportation of workpieces in different process stages in a narrow space. The lightweight and flexible layout of the CPX-AP-I remote IO system communicates quickly and stably with the upper computer through industrial Ethernet. The friendly IoT port in the Festo AP communication architecture can upload the real-time status of the machine to the cloud, making it easy for users to achieve remote monitoring and operation, demonstrating the advantages of multi task intelligent grabbing units in digitization and intelligence.
In the application of intelligent palletizing machines in the packaging industry, CPX-AP-A is included. As a new generation of Festo's IP65/67 modular remote I/O system, it made its debut at this year's Industrial Expo!
The intelligent palletizing machine plans the stacking sequence and form reasonably based on the size of the pallet and the shape of the items to be stacked. Through simple configuration of the upper computer, flexible positioning and stacking control can be achieved, and the optimal stacking trajectory and stacking sequence can be automatically generated. The operation is very simple and convenient, and after a few minutes of training, a worker without industrial control background can easily get started.
In the life science industry closely related to the health of the people, Festo utilizes its mature automation technology applications and experience in fields such as automotive manufacturing and 3C to assist in laboratory automation and empower the automation transformation and upgrading of the life science industry. The accuracy of liquid titration and handling is crucial, as the difference is a thousand miles. For the field of life science applications, a titration error of only a few microliters may lead to ineffective efficacy or conversion to toxicity. How to ensure the accuracy of sample movement? How can laboratories be flexibly adapted to different fluid characteristics? How to effectively balance the safety, stability, and efficiency of liquid movement? At this year's Industrial Expo, Festo brought miniature washing machines widely used in hospitals, blood stations, health and epidemic prevention stations, reagent factories, laboratories, and other environments. As a specialized medical device for cleaning enzyme labeled plates, a plate washer is usually used in conjunction with an enzyme labeled instrument. Through repeated shaking and cleaning, it separates the bound phase from the free phase during the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay process. It is used to clean some residual substances after the detection of the enzyme labeled plate, ensuring the accuracy of the test and improving the reliability of the experiment.
Festo dispensing head VTOI is the best interpretation of pneumatics-electrics fusion. It uses a compact two axis system to quickly move and a pressure/vacuum generator PGVA to generate compressed air or vacuum, achieving rapid cleaning of the enzyme-linked plate. The dispensing head VTOI, PGVA, high-performance medium valve VYKA, and valve control module VAEM are perfectly matched, and only the pressure and valve opening and closing time need to be set to achieve μ range of high-precision dispensing and aspiration.
In addition to individual standard product components, Festo also provides customers with customized functional modules or overall solutions. The Festo titration head VTOI, which debuted at the Industrial Expo, will be launched at the end of this year.
In addition, Festo has added a new member of the electric claw series to its expertise this year. Parallel electric gripper HEPP is suitable for gripping various workpieces in pure electric drive systems and applications where compressed air cannot be used. It is very friendly to complex production processes in the electronics and small parts industry, automation laboratories, and non-standard machine manufacturing. Customers only need to input parameters such as position, stroke, speed, acceleration, or gripping force to set the motion response and gripping method as needed. HEPP with integrated controller, very compact. Communication interface compatible with PROFINET ®, EtherNet/IP ® Or EtherCat ®, Simplified debugging, parameter settings, and real-time monitoring. Utilizing the Festo automation system CPX-E and combining compatible products to achieve intelligent system solutions.
Festo, with its excellent skills in the fields of pneumatic and electric drives and innovative digital soft power, helps customers in various industries to provide customized solutions, jointly interpret the value of automation innovation, and achieve industrial upgrading.
We see that most cloud services in the market only display simple status data on cloud dashboards, such as speed, temperature, power consumption, and so on. They can reflect the current operating status of the device, but this presentation does not involve in-depth data analysis and cannot bring higher level value to users.
In Festo's latest "Automation Experience" (Festo AX) service, we have introduced artificial intelligence technology into the process of predictive maintenance and energy efficiency management. Taking predictive maintenance as an example, the operational status data of components collected from the on-site end is modeled using artificial intelligence to ultimately present the concept of "health value" to customers. This approach allows users to have a very intuitive understanding of the current performance status of components, enabling them to replace components with low health values more planned and targeted before a possible failure occurs, thus achieving predictive maintenance. Festo AX services are like an experienced device manager, providing professional advice and advice to users in real-time.
