The best insights into a company invariably come from those who know it well and have personal experience of it. We have asked some of colleagues to describe what it's like to work as Festo Apprentices. You can read more about the careers and activities of people who could soon be your colleagues on the following pages.
When I was a primary school student, I received a birthday present, a small car that needed to be assembled by myself. After all morning's hard work, I put it together, and since then I have often disassembled and assembled all kinds of toys and utensils. In the process, I have a strong interest in machinery.
When I was in college, I chose a mechanical major for further research, and I was lucky to be an apprentice of FESTO through the selection. In three years, I try my best to absorb mechanical knowledge. On the basis of good performance, I officially became a member of FESTO after graduation, and got the opportunity to go to German headquarters through selection.
I was looking forward to the journey and couldn't wait to get a glimpse of it. Just arrived in Germany factory, I am attracted by everything there, new environment, new colleagues, new knowledge, I like the mutual respect, very harmonious relationship between my colleagues here.
During my half-month study in Germany, I gradually integrated here and learned more about the rigor and meticulous nature of the Germans. In addition, I also combined the knowledge I learned in the two countries to learn from each other's strengths and make up for my weaknesses. When I returned home, I still have a lot to learn. This is really a very valuable experience.
It was a lucky thing to work in a company that attached great importance to employee training and was willing to invest in it. Thanks to this experience in Germany, I have a new understanding of machinery and more motivation. Let me put more effort into the work, to improve production efficiency as our responsibility.
Hello, everyone. I am Xu Junli, the first trainee of the training center. It’s my honor to join the Festo family as the first batch of students under the dual education system.
I have spent six years at Festo so far. In July 2014, I successfully passed the interview and became a valve island assembler, and also changed from a student to a staff. As a newbie in the workplace, there is both a vision of the future, and a lot of confusion. Thanks to the department leaders and colleagues gave my great help and support from the technical and psychological aspects . Let me slowly integrate into the Festo family.
I joined the purchasing department through internal recruitment in October 2018.From workshop workers to office workers, due to the nature of the work, I became a newbie again. Under the patient guidance of department leaders and colleagues, I immersed myself in numerous learning resources and grew actively . After a year of study, I can easily complete my work tasks now, and gradually learn new knowledge and accept more work tasks.
I believe that under such a good platform as Festo, I will definitely achieve better results in my future career.
