Valves are pneumatic components used in automation technology to control actuators such as cylinders, rodless cylinders, motors or grippers. When it comes to the valves themselves, a distinction is made between pneumatically actuated valves, electric valves and manually actuated valves, which are available from Festo in many different designs and versions. In addition, we also offer valves for use with valve terminals, depending on the system requirements.

Valves in pneumatics

Pneumatics are used in industrial automation to transmit movement or force and this is usually done with the help of compressed air. The movement itself is carried out by actuators; these are in turn controlled by valves or valve terminals in automation technology.
